09/13/2012 The Outliner 2.0 is a fast and easy to use scene management tool. It has a wide range of features, including selecting, hiding, freezing, linking and grouping objects in the "Hierarchy Mode". In the "Layer Mode" you can organize your scene by dragging&dropping objects from one layer to the other. What's more, the Outliner offers support for nested layers, to manage scenes more efficiently. The interface is nimble enough to keep it open constantly.

Thank you very much on 2017 version. It's still better then new max layer manager.
Outliner 2.1.6 SF (Max 2017 compatible fix ) released
Just released the fixed package with Outliner 2.1.6 which runs on Max2017+ without crashing.

Fix for Outliner 2.1.5 with Max 2017SP1+ is in the works
Im currently working on a fix. Seems the problem is related to Max2017+ breaking byRef storage in arrays, which Outliner uses a lot for filtering stuff etc .will take some days and i'll post the results ...
Update: okay fix is complete, will still take some time to pack it up. Maybe i'll look into some other quirks i remember getting from time to time while using outliner...

redraw
Hi guys,
When the outliner is in hierarchy mode and I do some parenting in the scene, some bugs appears like doubles. The only way to make it right again is to switch to layer mode and back to hierarchy. Is there a way to force the redraw?
Anyway, thanks a lot for this script, it's insanely helpful.
3.0 install issue
tried both Regular and Full versions from github but it only installing 3 dll files and Outliner folder is missing
could anyone please share full installed Outliner3 config for 3dsmax 2014*64?

I got the following error in 3ds Max 2015

crash when loading 3dsmax 2014 after install 3.0.25 full.
