V-RayMtl Converter 3 - the useful tool for automating such a time-consuming process as converting different types of materials (currently supported: Standard, Raytrace, Autodesk Material, Architectural, mrArch&Design, Corona Renderer, fr-Advanced, Brazil Advanced) to V-Ray materials, as well as reverse conversion V-Ray materials to Standard materials (which is very useful for game developers, modelers etc.)

GridWork is a set of tools for working with grid based tiles of geometry. It primarily features things like offsetting objects by the spacing and direction of the current grid, moving shifted off selections of geometry back on the grid, and replacing uninstanced pieces of geometry with instances of a reference object.

Simple tools for working with splines in 3dsMax.

These tools includes:

  • -Selection filtering *Select only closed *Select only open 
  • -Clean up *Weld shattered splines from CAD 
  • -Close all *Close all splines
  • -Set points to corner/smooth/bezier/bezierCorner *sub-object level sensitive

Altimeter and Speedometer

There are two tools in the max scene - Altimeter and Speedometer. Altimeter shows Z coordinate of the selected object. Speedometer shows speed of the selected object. Both tools are 3dsmax text objects with custom attributes. Custom attributes let you select display units or pick the new object to measure. There are also two slider objects to display altitude and speed in viewport. These sliders might be deleted if there is no need in them.
Script is written in 3ds Max 2016. It will work in all later versions and probably some of the early versions of 3ds Max.

PowerCoreTools: 3ds Max's CPU management tool

Just released version 1.2 of my PowerCoreTools CPU managment script for 3ds Max

A tool to control CPU usage while 3ds Max is rendering. Automatically sets process priority and affinity ( the number of  CPU cores the render process uses) at render start. Restores the initial settings when the rendering is done. Can be configured to run in a complete transparent  No-UI mode, which is launched right after 3ds Max has started.
This keeps your workstation responsive for other tasks while rendering. A second 3ds Max session stays responsive and can be used to continue work on different tasks.
