IMPROVED FACE WEIGHTED NORMALS

This script is a must have for medium polygon modeling.

Weighted Vertex Normals or Face Weighted Normals use the area of the face to tune the vertexs normals.

This script does this for you with just one click.

Unlike others FWN Scripts, this one considers coplanar faces like they were a unique big face

You can disable this feature to get an standard FWN result, or tune threshold for not completely flat surfaces

A script aimed for 3ds max 2014 and upper versions, to assign colorID's required by programs like Quixel Suite and Substance Painter.
Tool strictly operates on polygons.
Make sure to backup your work before using the script.

I am working now on a script that will help with car parks. It is supposed to create randomise cars over even huge car parks. with one click solution you can generate cars parking spots and set colour scheme, probability and even angle of cars. you have control on number of spots in length and width, size of a parking spot and angle of parking spots.

quick overview: select cars - add selected cars models to library(models have to have preffix: "pix_"

create parking - create parking plane on ground geometry

car pro - car probability (% of cars on parking spots)

I think it's ready for general use now so here is my latest contraption! :)

It's a free scripted modifier plugin called 'Timewarp'. Its main use is for easy-nondestructive-time-remapping of animations. You get a curve that represent the object local time flow, similar to the PointCache's 'Playback graph' function.

A standard example would be a bullet-time effect. you can gradually slow down the animation of a few objects while the camera keeps moving at normal time. This without modifying the original keys or messing manually with a lot of EaseCurves.

Find And Bind - Vray Hdri & Sun

Find And Bind maxscript will scan your hdri and find the sun location.
After that,it will create V-Ray sun in this position and bind it to V-Ray Dome light.
You can rotate the rig by rotation the dome light or in the VrayHDRI map(horz rotation).

UPDATE v1.1 brings 3rd option for quads conversion, minor interface changes and fixes the bug with giant n-gon.

Hi there people :) This is my first attempt of creating script, no coding, just using standart 3DS Max actions (+500 to compatibility, -200 from speed). I haven't used any tutorial as a foundation because i found this method myself while experimenting with edges.

It is a script inspired by the script of Martin Breidt "overscan" http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/overscan and explained by Peter Guthrie.

It is useful when you have a vray camera and you want to extend the view for example a bit to the left without changing the perspective. The calculation is pretty simple but you can save time and confusion using this script.

Batch save selected obj or fbx files to max files.

- Only the files, whose checkboxes are turned ON will be loaded.

- The Get Directory button allows you to select all OBJ/FBX files in the selected folder. If the folder have sub-folders the script will ask you if you want to load OBJ/FBX files in the sub-folders.

- The Get File(s) button allows you to select OBJ/FBX files. Multiple selection is available - you can open a folder and select several files at once.
