Here’s a simple little pre-render script, that checks and warns you about those things you may have overlooked for whatever reason. The first thing it does is check if you are rendering a camera view, and if you are not, it asks you which camera view to render.

Sometimes you are doing GI precalculations or by accident you tick “Don’t render final image”. The script will check for that and ask if you want to switch it off or not.

As usual, use the script at your own risk and make a backup of your scene.

Happy Rendering!

a warning in case "Save as" option is checked

Also a warning in case "Save as" option is checked. This way one can avoid overwriting a previous render. This happens often and we wondered here at the office if there is a script that warns against this. Example: You open a file saved with "Save as" enabled. Time comes when you want to render some image. You render it but it comes out that you overwrote an important previous render because "Save as" option was enabled but you failed to notice this.
