A Script for Applying Fast Changes to  All or Selected Lights and Materials in the Scene and Clearing Paths from Render Elements .

This script move the selected objects in a new layer, if your object are not listed in the layer Manager. I have this bug with 3ds max 2016.

A dark color scheme for the Maxscript Editor, inspired by dark schemes available for other IDEs

As i was doing more and more max scripting lately, the urge to do something with the eye hurting Maxscript Editor colors escalated. So i sat down today and had a walkthrough on the various options Scintilla (Maxscript Editors core) provides.

 

Advanced Sweep

A curve-controlled scripted sweep modifier. As of now, both the Interpolation and Profile animation rollout UI items are just placeholders for non-implemented stuff. Using curve controls this way is pretty much experimental and as such, I wouldn't advise using this in production - better collapse it or make a pointcache and use that instead.

Material Name to Mat ID Name

Material IDs are blank by default. This populates the blank names by copying the names of the current submaterial, ignoring undefined materials and slots that already have names in them.

Written in Max 2016, but should work in all other recent versions as well.

QuickCollapse is a maxscript Struct with a few functions to speed up collapsing large numbers of objects, it provides feedback in the listener window so you can see progress as it goes.

Run script will trigger ‘CollapseSelected’ on your current selection. there isn’t much Error Checking involved, so filter your selection for meshes, and remeber that it SHUTS UNDO OFF for the collapse so that we dont have RAM overruns on large objectsets, so save/hold first eh?
