Load Multiple Bips

0 votes

I created this script to speed up my daily work with crowd animation. If you have a lot of character studios rigged bipeds and need to load the same animation (walk loops, conversation...) on all of then, so this script might help you.

It's a .mzp file that you can just drag and drop into 3ds Max or run through the MAXscript menu. After that you will find the script at: Customize > Customize User Interface > Toolbars tab > Category: MMScripts > Load Multiples Bips".

To use the script you just need to:

Autoweight - Automatic skinning tool for 3ds Max

20 votes

Autoweight is a script designed for 3D Studio Max helping you speeding up the skinning process of characters and machines.
You define special polygon regions and the script finds the appropriate bones, calculates the appropriate skin-vertices and sets up smooth transitions between those regions.

There are also Youtube video tutorials explaining the script step-by-step.

The new version 1.0 comes with an installer so you don't need to hassle around with the mzp-stuff anymore.

Very flexible and fast script to generate a bone based skeleton over the 3ds max's biped. Useful for exportation into game engines like Unity or UDK
If you need bones rig, but want to use biped layers and motion captures in 3dsmax, this script is for you!

To start, just create biped, custom it in figure mode to match your character. When done, create a new empty layer, select any bip element, and click on script button. Bones will be created automatically on biped structure.

What it will do:
- Default Biped Root = $Bip001
- Reduces the Keys of the Biped, but this will possibly not be the best
solution to reduce keys!
- On Press Start, it starts to Zero your Biped Pelvis to [0,0,z]
- If you check the Checkbox, it trys to move the Feet to [x,y,0]

Bend Biped

3 votes

It adds to the biped bend joints on Arms and Legs.
A slider on Hands and Feets control the bend value.
It also can be use to create good twist bones.
It adds the ability to stretch the Arms and legs.

You just have to skin using these new bones and not the biped ones.
But you animate using the original biped bone

Notes:The Script helps you to setup stretchy biped
bones (arms, legs, spine, etc) quickly with 1 mouse click. It simply adds
a parameter “stretchy” to first selected bone(modifier stack) from
selection. ( you can copy paste modifier where ever you want after
wards).

Installation: Just drag-drop or put in your “usermacros” folder

Usage: 3dsmax>>customize>>lm_Rigging(Catagory)>>SquashyBiped (assign a key,quadmenu,etc)

Worker of Biped

35 votes

Based on Blur's Biped Worker, this script creates a floater interface allowing easier selection of a biped's different body parts. It will simultaneously support several Bipeds with different bone setups. Multi-bone (Control-Click), hierarchical (Shift-Click), symmetry and opposite selections are also supported, as are the setting of commonly use pivot points all within the GUI.

Stepped Playback

This script allows you to playback any animations in stepped mode. It simply goes through your trackbar keys one by one in real time. I use it to play my Biped animations in stepped mode since you can't change f-curves with the Biped. Enjoy!
