Stretchy Bones Converter

Script for automating the process of getting 3dsMax's native stretchy bones into any game engine: creating a separate de-hierarchized bone structure that follows the motion of the base bone structure and automatically migrating skin weights on a mesh to those new bones.

USAGE:
Select the bones that you want to be affected with "Pick bones" button.
Select the affected mesh with a skin modifier with "Pick skinned object" button.
Press "Convert and reskin" button.

V-RayMtl Converter 3 - the useful tool for automating such a time-consuming process as converting different types of materials (currently supported: Standard, Raytrace, Autodesk Material, Architectural (Revit), mrArch&Design, Corona Renderer, NVIDIA iray (unofficial), fr-Advanced, Brazil Advanced) to V-Ray materials, as well as reverse conversion V-Ray materials to Standard materials (which is very useful for game developers, modelers etc.)

VrayProxy Switcher

Select a bunch of objects and put unique nodes to a specified directory as separate max files with the related vrayproxy data saved next to it.
Istance copies will be replaced with the new vrayproxy object.
Get previously saved objects back to max whenever you wish.

Batch Camera Render

This script aims to replace standard 3dsmax's Batch Render and imitates Houdini Output Node workflow. Using it you can specify rendering parameters - frame size, frame number, output path - directly to camera object, so every camera in scene 'knows' what it intended to render. Additional functionality is Lighting Assignment - you can specify which light will be turn on or off for selected camera during the rendering.

1.12 New Feature:

  • Deadline support.
    Very basic imlementation, it allows you to submit your jobs on a deadline server. Enter deadline repository address and check "Use Deadline" checkbox. Other checkbox doesn't matter in this case ("Net render", "Show Submit Dialog").
    Probably it requires Deadline 3ds max Submitter installed. I didn't have a chance to check it on a clean machine.

  • "projectname" keyword added which resolves to project's folder name

This script is a must have for medium polygon modeling.

Weighted Vertex Normals or Face Weighted Normals use the area of the face to tune the vertexs normals.

This script does this for you with just one click.

Unlike others FWN Scripts, this one considers coplanar faces like they were a unique big face

You can disable this feature to get an standard FWN result, or tune threshold for not completely flat surfaces

Populate:Terrain assists in creating and optimizing terrain surfaces from contour lines or from existing meshes. The quad based output allows for easier later remodeling, for example using push/pull painting. The regular face size reduces rendering issues (GI, displacement) and you can use Turbosmooth on it.
