Batch Camera Render

246 votes

This script aims to replace standard 3dsmax's Batch Render and imitates Houdini Output Node workflow. Using it you can specify rendering parameters - frame size, frame number, output path - directly to camera object, so every camera in scene 'knows' what it intended to render. Additional functionality is Lighting Assignment - you can specify which light will be turn on or off for selected camera during the rendering.

Recent update:

  • Region render parameter can be specified for each camera
  • Set Viewport button sets viewport camera and resolution and aspect as well
  • It is possible now to specify backburner servers and server groups for silent rendering submit (code editing required)

Align Pivot to Direction

2 votes

Align Pivot to DIrection(vector) allows you to align the X, Y,Z or XYZ axis of the local pivot of each of the selected objects to the direction(vector), defined by two picked in the scene points. SNAP will be turned ON automatically.  If the Shift key is down when the axis is choosen the pivot will be moved to the first picked point.

Version 1.1 should works properly with Pen(tablets).

Simple XML Library for 3dsMax

27 votes

Hi Everyone,

This is a library that simplifies working with XML files and XML Trees. It wraps the DotNet library's to provide a simpler way to work with XML. It has been kicking around the web on CgTalk and Tech Artists forum for quote a while so I thought I would post here.

It is implemented as to structs XMLDocument for working with XML files and XMLNode which represents a node in XML. It is very easy to use.

In the script at the bottom there is a complete example script documenting how to use it etc.

If you have any feedback or suggestions please let me know.

Cheers,

3DS max easy windows plug-in

This is my first script in 3D Max. I wrote it for my own purpose to speed up modelling of the most boring things in architectural visualisations. Windows and doors. This script helps to make simple windows and doors with divisions of your own need. Just place a box as a symbol of a door or a window and imagine that the segments of this box are the divisions of your window or door.
