Simple script to batch clean material slots... by slot name or by Class used in slot (eg NormalBump etc)

It shows a list of material classes + used slots, (only used slots will be listed).
Then you can select what you need to clean and press Clean

Textures2materials is a very handy plugin which can turn multiple textures into materials at once (into multi-material or into multiple material slots). It also checks if your textures have a bump versions and load them as bump. "Must have" plugin for any 3D designer.

Materializer

Materializer (materials equalizer) is the fastest way to create materials mixing different templates. It works like equalizer but for materials!
Example: To make glossy wood press the 'Wood' button and then add a little bit of plastic.

Every time you hit 'Set' selected material will be updated without removing of maps.

Currently only V-RAY supported.

Problem: The filesize of scenes suddenly increases dramatically. This slows down the workflow since every manual-save and autobackup-save takes long and it fills your fileserver with maxfiles that are very big.

Reason: 3ds max adds notetracks and reactor-collisions to the scene. A common workaround for this problem is ctrl+N (New Scene: Keep Objects and Hierarchy) or to merge your scene into an empty new scene.

Hi!

I am wrinting for those who work with MAX+V-RAY combo and have several render nodes.

I'm sure you have encountered many DR and Backburner problems, that you could only solve by restarting the V-ray spawner or BB server.

I used to do this with remote desktop access, or in worse case, manually back then, but now I have started to develop a system that makes this a lot easier.

Batch Camera Render

This script aims to replace standard 3dsmax's Batch Render and imitates Houdini Output Node workflow. Using it you can specify rendering parameters - frame size, frame number, output path - directly to camera object, so every camera in scene 'knows' what it intended to render. Additional functionality is Lighting Assignment - you can specify which light will be turn on or off for selected camera during the rendering.
