finalRender script that automates the process of first having to turn off GI caustic objects like glass etc. before GI calculation (reuse solution off - show samples on) - then reactivate the objects and re-render without samples and reuse solution used.

Script will insert an image (for example logo) into rendered image. Usefull - when for some reason - it can't be done later in post production.

Open Most Recent AutoBak

5 votes

When 3D Studio Max crashes - do you find it frustrating searching for the most recent autobak file? If so - this is the perfect script for you. This tool will sort through all autobak files and load the most recent version. I find myself using this tool a little too much.

"TrackMapper is utility that can set value for any objects animatable parameter in the array of the same object type (combined in Selection Set) based on pixel color of animated bitmap.
For instance - with TrackMapper it is really easy to simulate an outdoor advertising board as image of lighting up lamps in a determined sequence. "

An elaborate rollout that contains easy tools to help overcome gimbal lock. Use in conjunction with the Curve Editor to apply simple rotations to all or selected keys. It’s never been so easy to add an extra 360 degrees to a bunch of keys!

Select Opposite

Unfortunately Character Studio does not give the user the ability to create shortcuts to some of the most useful tools it has to offer. This script detects which Biped bones are selected and then mirrors the selection i.e. left arm to right arm. This script supports multiple selections of bones and unlike Character Studio - it can be run on combinations of bipedal and regular bones.

batchRenderAvi

this is a quick script i threw together to render a folder of over 650 2-3 second lipsync animations for the Alias project. just point to the folder - specifiy the output folder - hit 'go' and sit back and have a sandwich. requires a camera named Camera01 (i'll prolly add the ability to specify a camera name later or if enough people ask for it).
