3DS Max - Compound Objects - Loft -Part 1

0 votes

In this tutorial, we will start learning about a very powerful modeling tool in 3DS Max, called Loft, found in the Geometry, Compound Objects section. This tool needs a path and some cross sections, and it contains many powerful features to manipulate and customize the resulting geometry. This is the first video for the Loft tool, and hopefully, as soon as possible, I will make a second one to cover some of the other features of this powerful tool.

3DS Max - Link Sub Object Elements To An Object

0 votes

In this tutorial, we will see how we can bind sub-object elements to an external object using a modifier called Linked XForm, so that when modifying the transforms of this object the sub-object elements will be affected. We will three different scenarios where this modifier can be useful. Of course, you can think of different scenarios of your own. Also, we will see how we can animate the external objects and have the sub-object elements animated without really creating any keyframes for them.

Lesson 14 - 3DS Max - Total Beginners - Intro To TurboSmooth - Part 2

0 votes

In this second part of the TurboSmooth modifier's series, we will learn how to use the Smoothing groups option to constrain the smoothing in a certain direction. Also, how can add a second TurboSmooth after that to create a kind of fillet between the polygons.

Import from AutoCAD To 3DS Max - Part 2 - Inside 3DSMax

0 votes

This is a two part tutorial (please watch the first one) that deals with good practices related to importing AutoCAD files into 3DS Max. In this second part, we will see how to adjust few parameters inside Max, specially the parameters that you see inside the Import dialog.

3DS Max - Subdivide Equally Editable Poly Edges

0 votes

In this tutorial, we will learn how to equally subdivide Editable Poly edges,
By inserting the desired number of vertices, equally distanced. This can help us create many random patterns. In addition, you'll find some small useful And off-topic, tips for Turbosmooth and Connect vertices usage.

3DS Max - Tip - Match Tangency Of 2D Splines

0 votes

In this video, we will learn how to match the tangency of 2D splines on their endpoints so that they can flow smoothly.

Lesson 11-3DS Max-Total Beginners-2D Shapes Intro-part 5 - Mirror - Add Vertices

0 votes

In this video, we will learn how to mirror a sub-object element in a spline shape and how to determine a custom axis for the mirror operation. In the second part, we will see how we can add new vertices to an existing spline.

Lesson 8-3DS Max Total Beginners-2D Shapes-Intro part 2-Types Of Vertices

0 votes

In this 2nd part of the Intro to 2D Shapes, we will learn about the 4 types of vertices, what they mean, how we can convert one to another, and at the end, we will learn how to copy/paste the tangency handle (orientation and size) from one vertex to another.

3DS Max Copy With Reference Point Like In AutoCad

1 vote

In this tutorial, we'll learn how to copy objects using reference points on
other objects, so that the copies will respect the same distance and orientation. If you're an AutoCAD user you already know how to do this operation in AutoCad.
