Mathematics And Maxscript

1 vote

I will demonstrate one of the applications of mathematics inside maxscript. I will use the 3dsmax plane object for example. Sometimes when we create a plane, we want to adjust the length segments and the width segments so that the block of segments are squares. Sometimes we may apply a noise modifier or the displace modifier and we want the segment block to be squares.

Maxscript 101 - Free Online Training

822 votes

The creator of Maxscript (John Wainwright) has made his previously commercial training DVD available for free on Vimeo! It's broken up into easy to watch chunks and even though it's a bit dated it remains one of the best introductions to MAXScript available.

A sincere thanks from the ScriptSpot community to John Wainwright for releasing his incredibly valuable training series for free and to our very own "Garp" for putting in the time to get the video split into sections & uploaded. Thanks!

Rig / Animate tanks

Hi everyone,

"Gearing" is a 3ds Max script, helpful by rigging and animating of tanks, excavators, dredges etc.
The new version supports automatic path following, acceleration / deceleration.
The script is commercial. I intend to add a demo to the new edition, however the 1 st version comes with a limited demo.
The next two tutorials introduce the script's basics.
If you take interest in this area you may watch them at:
1. (1 st version) http://youtu.be/LzhH0fY1Y0Q
2. (2 nd version) http://youtu.be/VPFjEXvReF4

Thanks for watching!

Brick Wall Quick

3 votes

This is not a tutorial or script, just download the .max file.

Just trying out a brick wall with several scripts but sadly I have an old laptop so I thought why not try to make my own brick and then use the Clone Modifier (iToo) to clone it to two layers so that I could add more layers at a later date. It worked, I admit it's not brilliant but it might be useful to someone out there.

Made in 3D Max 2009

Added a Script made using Primitive Maker, it will be found under Wall and created a brick.
