3DS Max - Easy Modeling - Parametric Infinity Cube Table

0 votes

In this tutorial, we will create a parametric infinite cube table and we will see how to keep some of its parameters parametric, meaning that, after making the main geometry, we can go back and change things in it. After extracting the necessary segments from a base chamfered box(used as a path), we will use Loft to make the main shape using a custom rectangle as a profile.

3DS Max - Easy Modeling - Simple Chair - Part 2

This is the second part of this simple chair modeling tutorial, where we will finish it by modeling the seat part and the legs.

3DS Max Easy Modeling - Simple Chair - Part 1

0 votes

This is a two-part tutorial on how to model a simple chair. You will learn multiple tools and techniques regarding polygon modeling. In this first part, we will model the upper part.

Lesson 20 - 3DS Max - Total Beginners - Displace Modifier - Part 2

0 votes

In this second video related to the Displace modifier, we will see how we can use a Bitmap or a Procedural map to control the strength of the pulling forces coming out from the Gizmo. We will also see how we can add multiple Displace modifiers to create a more complex result. Finally, we will learn how to use a UVW Map (optional) to control the mapping of the texture used by the Displace modifier.

Lesson 19 - 3DS Max - Total Beginners - Displace Modifier - Part 1

0 votes

This is a two-part tutorial, where we learn about a powerful modifier called Displace. This modifier creates a magnetic force that pulls the vertices, allowing us to achieve interesting topologies. We can use the Giamo only to drive the pulling force as we will see in this 1rst part, or we can map a bitmap, or a procedural map onto the Gizom to control the strength of each pulling force coming out from this Gizom. Throughout these two videos, we will learn about the main parameters of this modifier.

3DS Max - Easy Modeling - Carved Sphere

0 votes

In this tutorial, we will learn how to create this carved sphere, and learn about some spline operations, like attaching, trimming, welding, etc,... We will also learn about the Lathe modifier, and Chamfer modifier, where will see how to fix some issues when using those modifiers by modifying some of their parameters. Plus some other stuff, so keep watching it until the end.

3DS Max [BUG] - V Ray Sun Created Randomly In The Scene

0 votes

In this video, I will recreate the issue/bug in 3DS Max, that will cause a V-Ray Sun to appear in your scene randomly, explain why this is happening, and then explain how to deal with it.

Note: At minute 3:00 I wanted to say: "...And this file has a V-Ray Sky..." not V-Ray Sun, and just after it at minute 3:06 I wanted to say: "...there is a V-Ray Sun in the scene..." anyway, it's fixed in the video caption if you turn it On.

Lesson 18 - 3DS Max - Total Beginners - Lathe Modifier 2

0 votes

This is another example of using the Lathe modifier in the Total Beginners series, you can watch the first part for a deeper explanation.
Here we will create a bottle of water with a geometry representing a label(without a texture).
In addition to what we've learned in the first video, at minute 7:05, we will see how we can add an Edit Poly modifier, and subdivide polygons to create the label part.

Lesson 17 - 3DS Max - Total Beginners - Lathe Modifier

0 votes

In this lesson for 3DS Max total beginners series, we'll learn about the Lathe modifier, we will learn how to use it properly, plus all its parameters, also we will see how to set up a background image to use for drawing the outline needed to model the geometry. We will learn how to draw the outline, fillet the corners, outline the segments,... At minute 15:17 we will learn the concept of Implicit geometry vs Explicit geometry.
