New Features in SkinOrDie 2.1


New BoneSelector:
The BoneSelector is now freely resizable and has some new features:

  • Click a Bone to select it in the SkinModifier
  • SHIFT Click selects all vertices that are affected by this bone
  • CTRL Click adds all vertices that are affected by this bone to the current vertex selection
  • ALT Click subtracts all vertices that are affected by this bone from the current vertex selection
  • DOUBLE Click opens the WeightEditor
  • RIGHT Click selects the BoneObject


  • Jump: Jump between the selected and the last selected bone
  • Changeable Colors
  • Automatic Window Resize: Resizes the BoneSelector to fit all bones


  • Paint Tools:
    In the VertexEditing Window, there is now a new Paint Tools rollout. You can change the size and strength of the brush and toggle Blendmode.

    Automatic SkinObject Detection:
    If you start SkinOrDie with a bone selected (instead of the skinobject), SoD will detect the SkinMesh and select it.

    Quickweight Presets:
    There is a new "0.5" quickweight button, and also a "More" button which opens a popup menu with presets from 0.1 to 0.9

    BoneTools:
    Buttons added in the EditBones Window and EditSkeleton to access the BoneTools.

    Better Biped Support:
    If you are using Biped, the EditSkeletonMode enables Figuremode
