SHORT DESCRIPTION

Logolisator is a RenderEffect scripted plug-in that overlays a logo image on top of the rendered frame.
It can use different overlay techniques and all controls are animateable.

INSTALLATION

Download Zip File,

Unzip to \Scripts\Startup,

Go to MAXScript>Run Script and run the source file, or restart max.

The plug-in will appear as Logolisator in the Rendering>Effects list.

USAGE

Version 0.11 (05/26/2001)

By default, the plug-in will look for a bitmap called logo.tga in your \Images folder.

If you have a logo you are using often, just place it there to save you a click or two.

If the logo bitmap cannot be found, the plug-in will do nothing.
To select a different bitmap, press the [Logo] button and select a valid image file.
If you select an animation file, only the first frame will be used.
You can also type in the path to the logo image into the text field manually.
The image will be placed by default in the upper left corner, having the 0,0 pixel of the logo aligned to the 0,0 pixel of the frame.
To change the placement, use the two value spinners. NOTE that the values can go from -4000 to +4000, so it is possible to

move the logo outside of the frame, or have a huge image as a logo and slide it around outside of the frame borders.

The placement values are animateable - you can have the logo move around the frame, or go in or out beyond the edges of the frame.
There are currently 10 overlay modes to choose from:

Alpha Blend uses the incoming alpha channel of the logo to blend the pixels together.

If there is no alpha channel, the logo will overwrite the frame pixels bellow it.

Blend uses the additional Blend Percentage value which is also animateable.

When the spinner is set to 100%, the logo will overwrite the frame pixels.

When the spinner is set to 0%, the logo will be completely transparent.

You can animate revealing and disappearing logos using this mode.

Add simply adds the pixels together and clamps them to 255.
Subtract does the reverse by subtracting the logo pixels from the frame pixels and clamping to 0.
Multiply does what the name says.
Value Add does a weighted addition by multiplying the logo pixels by their Value first, then adding to the frame.
Value Blend uses the pixel Values to blend the pixels together.

The logo pixels are being multiplied by the Value, the frame pixels by (1-Value), then the results are being added.

Overlay assumes grey [128,128,128] to be neutral (transparent), the difference to this color is being added to or subtracted from the frame color.

Thus the max. color to be added or subtracted is [127,127,127]

Softlight works the same way as Overlay, but using only half of the color values for addition/subtraction.

A color value of [0,0,0] reduces the frame color by only [64,64,64]

Hardlight works the same way as Overlay, but using twice the color values for addition/subtraction. Thus, a color value of [0,0,0]

reduces the frame color by [255,255,255].
