the coolest thing to me at the art show was a piece called a 'wooden mirror'.. basically it was
all these little wooden prisms on motorized axis with the flat side out and a light overhead.. in
the center was a small camera looking toward the crowd.. as the camera translated light and dark
pixels, motors turned the wooden pieces to match the illumination by either catching a highlight
(angled up), catching no highlight (flat toward you), or catching a shadow (angled down).. anyway,
this pic doesn't do it justice since the flash ruined the effect, but it was in near real time,
and just to see all those little wooden prisms moving was too cool..
