Q: I'm not quite sure how to formulate this, but i'm looking for an effect, which is widely used, so i'm sure someone will understand. It's basically a sort of hilight which moves over an object. It's mostly a small, tilted line going from left to right (or vice versa). I hope that someone understands what i'm getting at...

A: I hope I understand you right. One of the things you could do is:

Create a spotlight, switch to rectangular, adjust the Aspect ratio to have a very narrow and very high hotspot, and Roll to about 30-45 degrees. Now you can animate the spotlight to do that moving light effect on your logo. A little bit Glow and/or Hilite would make it look even better. You might want to use the spotlight as a projector if you don't want a regular line, but something more interesting (like a lightning-shaped line).
