Q:
Following problem: I have rendered an animation als a FLIC-File and I
want to take a certain area out of it (for example 100x100) and store it
as a new FLIC.
Does anybody know which Software can do it ?
A:You surely have rendered using 3DSr4? If yes, here is what you need to
do:
- Go to the Keyframer
- Select Video Post and click in a viewport
- Add a single Queue Entry and put the source flic in it.
- Make sure you have aligned the flic to the upper left corner of the
screen without resizing (see the small icons bellow...)
- Go to Render and set in the Configuration screen the output resolution
of 100x100
- Select Custom Palette and add the source flic for the Palette source.
- Render to a new Flic.
This will cut the upper left 100x100 pixels from your image. If you need
any other area, set the Offset to a negative value to move the source
position as you like. For example: If you have a 640x480 flic and want
to cut out the central part of it, you will need to enter offset like
-270,-190 (because the coordinates of the desired area are
(270,190),(370,190),(270,290),(370,290) and you have to move the upper
left corner of that area to the upper left corner of the rendering
screen...)
