Installation of Maxscripts from the "ceMaxUtils" folder:

There are 2 ways to setup the ceMaxUtils script, depending on whether you have admin rights or not:

1. if you do not have admin rights to execute *.bat files:
- Start your copy of 3ds Max
- Open your Explorer and go to the "<drive>:\<your_extracted_path>\_distributed_tools\max" folder
- Drag and drop the "setup_ceMaxUtils.ms" (NOT the "setup_ceMaxUtils.bat" file) onto a 3ds Max Viewport.
- A new dialog window opens. Use "Browse" to tell the install script where the "<drive>:\<your_extracted_path>\_distributed_tools\max" folder is located.
- Press "Install ceMaxUtils" button.
- Restart 3ds Max and you will see a new menu entry called "ceMaxUtils" in Max main menu bar
- Run the menu "CRYENGINE Max Utilities"

2. if you have admin rights and are allowed to run "*.bat" files (you may also choose to first way described above):
- Open your Explorer and go to the "<drive>:\<your_extracted_path>\_distributed_tools\max" folder
- Run "setup_ceMaxUtils.bat" to install
- Start 3ds Max
- There should be a new menu in Max main menu bar named "ceMaxUtils".

3. This can be done only if you have successfully installed cemaxUtils by following the 1. or 2. way described above to install.
- In 3ds max, go To "Customize" menu and choose "Customize User Interface".
- A new window opens. Now it depends on your favourite way to access a macroscript: by Keyboard shortcut, by QuadMenu, by a custom Toolbar or Menu.

( Consult your 3ds Max Help or fellow artists how to set up a custom keyboard shortcut or QuadMenu for if you don't know how to do it: )
Here are the basic steps to set up a QuadMenu:
- I prefer to set up a custom QuadMenu:
- Choose what QuadMenu you want to have the Actions put into:
Click on the right part of the window on the drop down list: choose "Custom[Shift+Alt+Ctrl+RMB]"
or by creating a new QuadMenu
- On the left of the popped up windowClick on the "Quads" Tab, click on the "Category" drop down list to select "CRYENGINE_Max_Utilities".
- On the lower list view "Action", you will see the available CRYENGINE Max macroscripts.
- From there drag and drop the Action/Macroscript to the section of your new QuadMenu template layout(NE,SE,SW,NW section)
- Repeat the former step to add any other Action/Macroscript to you QuadMenu template
- Finally, close the "Customize User Interface" window. If you did run 3ds Max as Administrator, your customization is saved now.

- Restart 3ds max ( with or without Admin rights ) to check if the new "CRYENEGINE Max Utilities" are there.
