The plugin works with multiple opened AutoCAD files. It recognizes the last copied objects. The script offers many filtering options for the imported objects like: 1-Removing the prefix "Layer:" and this will make it easier to select objects by name. 2-Removing any material applied to the imported objects. 3-Removing the Block/Style Parent hierarchies. (You might encounter name LinkComposite, it's the same thing). 4-Selecting the imported objects when importing is done. 5-Turning the imported objects into a group. 6-You have the option, when clicking import, to open the default AutoCAD DWG/DXF Import Options dialog, so that you can set additional options, And when you click Import, 3DS Max will import the objects using the selected options in this default dialog + the options set in the plugin. So you better set the plugin's options first. *New in V1.5: -Now you can set a new path for the copied AutoCAD geometries. This is important if the user changes the AutoCAD's Temporary Drawing File Location. -The checkbox named "Use Path" allows you to toggle the use of the default path, if it's unchecked, And if it's checked, the plugin will look for the copied geometry in the custom, user-defined path. This way, if the user decides to go back to the default path, which is the "Temp" system folder, all you need to Do is to uncheck this option. *Uninstall Old version: If you're using an old version, you can uninstall it by: 1- Close 3DSMax 2- Go to: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\20XX - 64bit\ENU\usermacros 3- Delete the file named: MiRi_Tools-CopyPasteDWG.mcr -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *The script can be used freely for personal and commercial projects.
