Curtain-wall Wizard

The Curtainwall Wizard allows you to take any polygonal object and
convert it into a curtainwall system; complete with glass, mullions,
and silicon joints. The resulting curtainwall is parametric so you can
make changes to the base mesh and it will update model in realtime.

Bitmap Tracking / Resizing... is tool similar to Asset Tracking. But it gives more possibility to work with bitmaps:

- Resize selected bitmaps to 2k, 1k, 512, 256, 128, 64px and save in new folder (not available in demo)
    - easy batch resize and reconect selected bitmaps (by size) before sending to external renderfarm,
    - resize bitmaps in large animation sceens to reduce memory ussage,
- Sorting files by name, image width, height, file size, path, status (Found - network, Found -  local, Not found)
- Change / Rename paths (with paths history and rename path prefix eg. change only server/drive letter)
      * Choose from path from history (already used paths in curent project)
      * Pick new path
      * Batch rename paths beginng ( drive letter or paths C:\sample\abc\ and rename them to Z:\3d\sample\abc\ )
- Select objects by selected bitmaps
- Select / show materials by selected bitmaps (loads materials with selected bitmaps  -> to material library)
- Copy local files to network with auto path replacing (for distributed / network render)
- Copy selected to one path with path replacing or just copy files - collect selected to project forlder or quickly copy+change selected paths to not show your paths structure
- Copy all with path structure - similar to max archive
- File status in 3 colors -> Found - network, Found -  local, Not found ( eg.: easy sort and select all local -> copy selected to network)
- New - All assets tracking - test only - it needs more testing - to turn it on > right click menu > Show all assets...
- New - now supports .ifl - sequence image files - resize / copy / path repleace (not in demo version)

Sorting algorithm visualizer

 

This script is completely useless to a typical 3ds max user, but if you are a scripter/programmer and you are interested in sorting algorithms, then what it does maybe educational/fun.

It allows to visualize and "audiblize" some common sorting algorithms used everywhere using boxes. I implemented the code for MAXScript for most of the algorithms and the rest are direct translation of other languages and pseudocodes from the Internet.

Multi-Tile UV Bake Tool

The Multi-Tile UV Bake Tool allows you to bake multi-tile texture collections in 3ds Max using common naming conventions such as MARI UDIM, Mudbox or Zbrush. By default, baking textures in 3dsMax is limited to the 0,1 UV Space. Without this tool, manually exporting/baking collections is extremely time consuming and quite forbidding, especially when dealing with large tile collections.

Please note: This script was written and uploaded here before the release of 3dsMax 2013, which now includes an 'egg' spline shape.

What it does:
Cam Spline is an interactive, parametric spline tool which produces spline shapes based on two circles joined by two straight or curved lines, or a 'cam' shape. Cam Spline faithfully keeps the intersections at a true tangent, regardless of the diameter of the circles or the distance between them.
