Copitor allow you to quick copy/paste selected objects to another Max scene or in another Max if you have 2 3dsMax open. I also like to use it like as a "quick backup" for try something, and to be sure to loose nothing :)

miauu's Script Pack vol.1

miauu's Script Pack is a set of scripts that will help you to make faster and easier some of the tedious task when you use 3ds Max.

miauu's Script Pack include:

OutFiler file browser

Now it's free.

The OutFiler is a simple but powerful file browser inside 3dsmax that completely replaces standard save/load/save selected/merge/import/export dialogs. I believe folder tree much more comfortable and transparent.

The OutFilers provides the ability to quickly find the necessary folders, save the history of movements along them with back/next buttons and recent list and the favorite paths for quick access to working scenes.

Save & Restore Views

7 votes

A simple script that is pretty similar to max's own "Save active perspective view" and "Restore active perspective view" functionality just that there are 5 slots with preview images. Un-comment the first 2 lines to install it as a macroscript. Click the little lock symbol to save a view, click the image button to restore it.

Incremental Save

51 votes

It's a my super slim version with similar functionality to the Martin Breidt script, that saves incremental file versions while keeping the name of the latest - most-up-to-date version always the same as the original file. This is good for XRef'ing because the filename does not change.

incrementalSave

This macroscript is a replacement for the save function. It saves incremental file versions while keeping the name of the latest - most-up-to-date version always the same as the original file. This is good for XRef'ing because the filename does not change. Just add it to your File menu and/or define Ctrl+S as shortcut.
New: Old file versions will now be saved to a subdirectory
v0.61 update: Bug fix to handle non-standard number prefixes; small improvements to the UI and error messages

Grab Viewport Plus

A requested script that add a few options to the standard Max screenshot tool:
incremental save in given folder and prefix name,
+ forced toggle to Expert mode and maximize Viewport.

Camera Aspect Lister

This little script is for people who makes numerous still image camera views with different image aspects. The script lets you choose a camera and modify the aspect on the fly and store this as a postfix the camera name.

This way you dont have to remember what aspect you used for a certain camera.

Script is only beta version - and my first ever script, so be warned.

I am thinking of expanding to also link up a scene state with each camera, for easy storing of per-camera lights etc.
