Worker of Biped

35 votes

Based on Blur's Biped Worker, this script creates a floater interface allowing easier selection of a biped's different body parts. It will simultaneously support several Bipeds with different bone setups. Multi-bone (Control-Click), hierarchical (Shift-Click), symmetry and opposite selections are also supported, as are the setting of commonly use pivot points all within the GUI.

Biped (.bip) Animation Batch Retargeting & FBX export

4 votes

This script was made to retarget animations so that changes could be made to the biped's proportions throughout production.

I made this for making my life easier between Max and Unity (though it could be used in any max-based pipeline). Unfortunately Unity has no native retargeting, unless your team is using Mecanim.

Load Multiple Bips

I created this script to speed up my daily work with crowd animation. If you have a lot of character studios rigged bipeds and need to load the same animation (walk loops, conversation...) on all of then, so this script might help you.

It's a .mzp file that you can just drag and drop into 3ds Max or run through the MAXscript menu. After that you will find the script at: Customize > Customize User Interface > Toolbars tab > Category: MMScripts > Load Multiples Bips".

To use the script you just need to:

This will dismantle that wall of motion captured key frames into something more manageable. It’s not the most sophisticated of algorithms. But, it gets the job done and leaves you with nicely lined up key-poses. To use simply:

Bones from biped

Very flexible and fast script to generate a bone based skeleton over the 3ds max's biped. This script creates an entire rig from Bip character. If you don't have time to create all roll bones, and repeat all the same on the mirrored side, just create Bip and set up it's proportions, run the script and magically you will have a brand new rig.

To start, just create biped, custom it in figure mode to match your character. When done, create a new empty layer, select any bip element, and click on script button. Bones will be created automatically on biped structure.
