seems to work fine for me, have you tried applying SP2 ?
read here: (search for snap, there's a few fixes for that)

i have juste a questionne! but this question not realative to your poste but to my proleme!
so i have a probleme with snap tools in max 2017! when i active the snap tools and take to snap vertex to eache othe for exemple! my max give me a erreur and close down! and am need the restart it again!
have you any idea how to fix this problème and thank for you in advance!

so if you could do some screenprints it would help clarify the problem. Yes I know you said it crashes your Max so you can't really take a snapshot then...but try to do some screenprints showing your steps leading up to the crash...
can't say I can help you, I tinker a bit with MCGs but not really a max expert under the hood...but if you can get some screenprints maybe others can help.
