Thanx for tip

!

Tweekazoid's picture

you have to use propper

you have to use propper formating

in maxscript few sign are used to farmat text and if you use them in string you have to declare them as a text symbol not formating command

ie:

before these symbols: " , r, n, t, \, ....(dont remeber exact symbols, please refer to maxscript formating text)
you have to insert (backslash): \

write function that will reformat the string acordingly or simply use forward slash and uppercase letters
ie

c:\user\data
to
C:/USER/DATA/.... (this will work most of the time)

Handy indeed ! Is it possible

Handy indeed !

Is it possible to replace the user name by %USERPROFILE% ?
I only manage to make it works with DOSCommand "explorer.exe %USERPROFILE%\AppData..."
ShellLaunch seems to handle only the user folder, not the rest of the path...

Any idea ?
