This is a very small, but useful script for 3ds Max. It can increase the performance of the viewport by showing all objects in the scene as a box, except the selected objects. So you can see the selected objects normally and you can work on it.

seems to work straight away

so I simply drag the mzp file into my viewport...it pops up with message installed OK.

I then go to Cuctomize>Customize User Interface>Toolbars. Add the button to my toolbar....and that's about it...select an obj, click the button to activate...all other objs will display as a see thru box...click on another obj (that currently is displayed as box) and that obj will show up while all others will be boxes...

I'm on Max 2016 x64, win7 using Nitrous driver..but I tested Legacy Direct3D driver as well and that worked too.

Also on SP2 so maybe try applying SP2.

vusta

Hi vusta, how did you get it to work in 2016? I am trying it and all I get is one big box that surrounds all the objects. In older versions of Max you click on an object and it shows the solid mesh but when you click away it just shows it as a bounding box so hides the geometry. It is not doing this in my 3D Max 16. So if this is yours is there a setting you changed or turned of pls?

Thankyou very much

I've played with this for awhile

and it's really useful! Thanks!

I don't have the best equipment, but this helps out with large scenes.

Your other scripts are pretty cool too

All your scriptz are belong to me!
