I'm having an issue where your script only works on collapsed meshes. Would allowing it to work on a stacked modifier be an easy fix? That would be great. Thanks

Are you sure. Try

Are you sure.
Try this...
Create a box, convert to poly, than select all polys and clear smoothing grups. Then tray to use Graphite Modeling tools - selects hard edges. And try also with my tool, and then tell me what you think.:)

Sorry, maybe it is me but I haven't gotten it working

Thank you for sharing :) This tool may be really useful if I can get it working.

I get the little tool popping up, but when I press 'Select Hard Edges' nothing happens.

I have tried:
- selecting the object (which is an editable poly), then pressing 'Select Hard Edges'
- selecting edge subobject mode, then pressing 'Select Hard Edges'
- selecting edge subobject mode, selecting all the object's edges, then pressing 'Select Hard Edges'
-adding edit poly to the object's stack, choosing edge subobject mode, then pressing 'Select Hard Edges'

Unfortunately, still no results. I'm using Max 2012.
