The Outliner 2.0 is a fast and easy to use scene management tool. It has a wide range of features, including selecting, hiding, freezing, linking and grouping objects in the "Hierarchy Mode". In the "Layer Mode" you can organize your scene by dragging&dropping objects from one layer to the other. What's more, the Outliner offers support for nested layers, to manage scenes more efficiently. The interface is nimble enough to keep it open constantly.

Spline Problem!!!

I am working in 2013 and I am having trouble merging splines into a scene. They are in the Outliner, but are invisible. I made sure they were not hidden. I did a test and placed a material modifier on a spline and then merged it into my scene and it showed up. I collapsed it to an editable spline and merged it and it doesn't show up. Script doesn't like lines/splines. This is an awesome script, outside of this problem. Thanks!

Color tagging is something

Color tagging is something I'm working on for the Outliner 3.0. At this moment I've got a part of it implemented, see this blog post:

More is to come though!

color coding

hi

does a color coding on layer basis already exists within?
if not would be a cool feature to add...and optionally the objects within layer may show corresponding wire color

thanks

colours

Hi, it would be great if we could assign layers different colours in the outliner, like in Maya. Not only the wireframe in the viewport but in the outlienr as well. That would be much more clearly when working with lots of layers.
