The Outliner 2.0 is a fast and easy to use scene management tool. It has a wide range of features, including selecting, hiding, freezing, linking and grouping objects in the "Hierarchy Mode". In the "Layer Mode" you can organize your scene by dragging&dropping objects from one layer to the other. What's more, the Outliner offers support for nested layers, to manage scenes more efficiently. The interface is nimble enough to keep it open constantly.

I found the workaround to prevent this window to appear. You need to find ui.ms in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2020 - 64bit\ENU\scripts\outliner
and comment out this string "outliner.loadkbdxFile();"

Compatibility fix for 2020?

Hello! Any chance of another compatibility update for 2020? Everything appears to be working perfectly except for this error on startup (and another error about not being able to auto-assign the hotkey but you can still do that manually).

This script is just too essential!

It's not a Beta, but an Alpha version

it is an Alpha version, so definitely not worth the risk if stability is important to you.

Very grateful!
...but the correct path to the file ENU\scripts\outliner\colorSchemes.ini

@ Monaco : Look in your ENU

@ Monaco :

Look in your ENU folder for a file called "outliner_user_colors.ini", you can change the selection colours there.
