Outliner

Version:
2.1.5
Date Updated:

The Outliner 2.0 is a fast and easy to use scene management tool. It has a wide range of features, including selecting, hiding, freezing, linking and grouping objects in the "Hierarchy Mode". In the "Layer Mode" you can organize your scene by dragging&dropping objects from one layer to the other. What's more, the Outliner offers support for nested layers, to manage scenes more efficiently. The interface is nimble enough to keep it open constantly.

Additional Info:

Compared to the previous version (1.6.1), there are many improvements. Most notable among them are: hugely increased performance, improved stability, nested layer support and many small tweaks to improve the ease of use. For a list of all changes, click here

@ Monaco : Look in your ENU

@ Monaco :

Look in your ENU folder for a file called "outliner_user_colors.ini", you can change the selection colours there.

How to change text color in Outliner for Max2017?

Please tell me, how I can change the text color of selected objects?
At this point in 3dsMax 2017 color the selected and unselected elements almost blended. I would like to make the text more color contrast.

Outliner Very Slow

Hi there. This is a great script, but it is very slow. Using v2.1.6 in max2014.

I have a large file, and everytime I select an object or deselect it, there is a delay of about 5 seconds. This happens only when outliner is open.

I think this is because it highlights the objects layer every time I select an object.

This makes it un-useable.

It would be great to have the option to disable this feature and for it to behave like max's default layer manager.
