Relink Bitmaps is a script to easily relink all missing files (Bitmaps, VRayMeshes, Mental Ray Proxies, VRayHDRI, IES, etc) when they change directories or when you move computers, check out the short video tutorial below for more detailed information.

Unlike some other scripts of its kind, this is free!  There is a small donation link within the script if you choose to donate, I will remove the nag.  It is a simple licensing system, that does not force you to transfer network cards or be connected to the internet and will work with all versions of Max that are supported by the script.  If you choose to donate I'll be more than happy to license multiple computers as well.

Features:

[*] All 3dsmax supported Bitmap Texture types
[*] (new) Relinks Mental Ray Proxy files
[*] (new) Relinks VRay Proxies (.vrmesh)
[*] (new) Relinks VRayHDRI files
[*] (new) Relinks IES files (including VRayIES files)
[*] (new) Automatically checks for script updates and new versions
[*] 250% speed increase from previous versions
[*] Command-line mode available for automating repetative tasks (see documentation on the website)
[*] Configurable default user options saving button clicks and wasted time

Best,

Contact details

Hi Colin

I have updated my Profile, so you can contact me is you so wish to etc...

I am not a scripter, but use and love them....It just thought by getting your expert knowledge to look at Batch Library Helper script, Im sure you will work it out straight away...
But as it is piggy backing off your script and it errors it makes it look like your script is not working, which you don't want...and i'm sure you can fix this.
I'm really excited about getting this working, as it would automate so much of an everyday dull part of library and texture fixing creation...
Left a Message on Batch Library Helper page to get in touch with you also
Cheers again pal

relink script beingused in the batch library helper script

Hello Colin, may i just say I love your scripts, they are awesome...

I am not sure if you are aware one of our friends on here who is new to scripting and i know nothing of scripting to point out, has been developing a new script which uses your relink bitmaps script, as an automatic feature.
basically it its an automated opening and saving script that along the way uses your relink to fix the texture paths, and does it on a whole folder at a time....GREAT.

However i cannot get the damm thing working, crashes out when it hits your script each time...now I know its not your script thats not working, i think its little bugs in his script...
I am wanting to ask you, could you possibly please install his script and read about it etc, and see if you can actually get it to work, he might just need a little help refining it slightly....its the Batch Library Helper
please see his page on here at
http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/batch-library-helper-v1-0-1

I'm just thinking this would be such a great script via your script to help the world organize their library assets..if only it worked.
i think its got to be something really simple to fix, it just needs fresh eyes on it, I hope he doesn't mind me asking you either, he does ask for extra help from anyone on his page.
I am just so excited about getting this working.
many thanks in aadvance if you get to do this

Hey, I tried to email you about this via your contact page on Scriptspot, but your contact info isn't listed so I'll contact you via the VRay Forums. Any chance you can get me a simple scene so I can correct this problem for you and anyone else having this problem?
