this is my 3dsmax script: sectioner :a usefull and time saving tool that automate the acts of : section detach and shell for you. helpful in your modeling workflow
parameters:
- determine slice numbers
- determine orientations
- determine thickness of each slice
- 2 mods: solid and strips
- for installation: menu> scripting> run script : sectioner.ms
- then go to customize> customize user interface> toolbars > category MGH3D> drag Sectioner to your toolbar
