 A Hammer User's Guide to 3ds Max Wall Worm is the complete Source Engine Pipeline. With extensive exporters, importers, model, material and level design tools, Wall Worm makes working with the Source Engine fun.

The toolset now also includes exporters for getting models into Source 2.

WW has been used in Max 2008+ but is only officially supported in the current version and three versions back. Works in 3ds Max 2023.2.

Installation

Simply run the installer. For more information, please read the Official Installation Instructions.

The previously commercial edition called Wall Worm Pro is now free. All of the previously commercial plugins (like CorVex and PropLine) are now included in the installer for free.

WW 2.0+ is now out. A lot of

WW 2.0+ is now out. A lot of new features.

There have been a lot of bugs reported and fixed in the last few weeks because of the drastic changes under the hood... and it took more people than just me testing to track them all down. Today fixed the broken VTA exporter.

Update today to fix bug with Skinned meshes. The bug was introduced in the 1.972 update and is now fixed in 1.973 .

VMF Importer Finished

Now there is a full-functioning VMF importer in Wall Worm. It was in WW previously, but now has complete support for every kind of displacement, imports correct uvw for brushes and displacements, and can even import scene props.
