To Install: 1- Extract the file, you'll see a .mzp file named: Multiple_Sections_v1.5.mzp 2- Right-Click the .mzp file, go to Properties and make sure there is no Unblok option, if there is one, then check it, click Apply and Ok. 3- Drag the mzp file into Max's viewport. A window will show up telling you the script is installed To create a button: 1-Go to Customize menu, Customize User Interface, Toolbars tab, in the Category look for MiRi-Tools category 2-Click New... to create a new toolbar, name it as you like, presse Ok, Drag the script named 'Multiple_Sections' to the new toolbar button. Now you can place it on the main toolbar. Update v1.5: 1- Now, if the Weld option is checked, and the Clean Afetr Welding is checked too(default), the script will clean the splines from unnecessary vertices. Unnecessary vertex is a vertex that is shared between by 2 segements with 0 degrees angle between them. 2- In addition to the automatic cleaning mentioned above, a button is added, labeled 'Clean' that performs the same cleaning on segments. These segements can be those sections created by the script, or any other segments in the scene. Those segments must not have any modifiers applied to them. The splines' vertices must be weleded first for the cleaning to work. This button works on 1 or more selected splines. To Uninstall the first version(In case you've installed it): 1- Close 3DS Max 2- Go to: C:\Users\YouUserName\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\20xx - 64bit\ENU\usermacros 3- Delete the file: 'MiRi_Tools-Multiple_sections' To Uninstall the current V1.5: Follow the same 3 steps mentioned above.
