vertex problem

hi guys,

i have a (point3) position of a vertex but i need it's index number - can you tell me how to do this ?

i have the same problem too, can anyone try to help me? just like the above case, i have some array of selected vertex, but i cant to select just one of it, for example : i just want to select the first vertex from the array to remove it from the array.. and so on.
