wht i should know to start creating scripts

hey ppl,
am shekhar! eagerly want to learn max scripting but not getting any help about ?
so could u ppl help to understand the fundamentals of the script

Even though you don't know

Even though you don't know any of the other programming language, you'd get how it works.'Cause it's easy to understand.
But you should know the procedure of how 3ds max works. And I suppose you can learn it quickly if you're interested in maths.

yes, there is a book that gave me a good start:

it's basicly the only book around on this topic, but really good. (if anyone knows other books, i like to hear aswell)

next to that, you could discusse problems you encounter on this forum. This helped me a lot.

ah oke. You don't have to be

ah oke. You don't have to be a full-educated programmer in any way. You do need some understanding of logica of course and have some expirience with 3dsmax.

Maxscript has its own syntax and logic. If you already have some basic knowledge of any other scripting-language like javascript or pascal (or so), it will surely be easier to get started, but it is not a 'requirment'.

take it from me, maxscript is my first coding language.and i am loving it.
its easier than other language i guess.
hope someday i will able to grasp dotnet.:-)
