AutoModifier script

Hi people,
I'am developing peeling effect for some free project and I need a script for assign modifier process automation. I'm planing to do a tutorial so I guarantee that script will be very popular ;)

We need UI to make it more attractive.
Steps to do:

UI:
select object list
select reference object
select Material ID

Function:
clear all modifiers from object list
copy all modifiers from ref object. if animated include animation (not objects animation)
fit gizmo to objects dimensions and align its Z axis to selected MatID faces average normals. Copy X or Y axis from ref object.
