There is no option for the dialog like "isLayerSelected" or anything similar, so I guess it is not possible to do this via MXS. You could have some objects selected and use a script to hide the layers they are located on, though.

yes it is avaible rightnow but my request emerges from the idea of not selecting objects from viewport, a very staggering action on heavy scenes...
