mover

Hello,
is there a way to make a script to move objetcs in max using units, just like "mover" plugin for sketchup (http://www.scriptspot.com/sketchup/plugins/mover)? sometimes i need to move a lot objects in same distance, like 50 cm, and everytime i need to move, i have to type the distance in the floater box. In sketchup mover, you can type the distance in a box, and then click an arrow to move the objects, without need to type the numbers everytime. is it possible?
