path constraint and object distribution

Hello
I would like to find a script :
- I have a spline
- I "position path constraint" one object
- I duplicate N time this object on the spline with an offset
- I erase 2 opbjects for eg.
- I want to redistribute all the objects on the spline at equal distance.
(need to know spline length, number of selected objects, and then distribute at equal percent on spline, ... I think)
