ram play last rendered animation ?

Does anybody know if something similar exist?

A script that when pressed, renders the anim range to the local preview folder as jpg etc,

and then loads it into ramplayer, alternatively as an avi which is opened in mplayer?

I am thinking something similar to after effects numpad 0 - preview
