Slate Material with backdrop option

Hi fellow artists,

Was wondering if anyone already created this or will in the future. I was thinking of adding a backdrop option with the ability to give it a color and a name to the slate material to organize/categorize node/materials. something like the compositing software nuke. see the image as an example. thx!
