Note Helper

27 votes

This little scripted plugin is aimed at improvement of teamwork-workflow.
It allows you to place notes in the scene wich you can handle like any other Max object (link, animate, ect). That way you can just leave some remarks directly in the scene, where it matters, to prevent possible confusion and improve the workflow and thereby the resulting product.

With this useful and funny script, you can isolate in a ListBox, the category object in Geometry, Shape, Light, Helper, Camera and Space Warp in the viewport.  We can select, rename and count the items in the scene.  Useful in many work situation.

Scene Notes helper

There is many manners to save notes to the scene. Usually I put notes to dummy helpers with descriptive names and location to remind me something for concrete object, layer or the whole scene, so I use multiple targets to hold my notes, and any 'popup' persistent callbacks not sound good to me. Also I intend to control which of them to see on loading, so, this helper plugin is written mainly for my workflow, but hope it`s welcome to someone else.

Spline Control

While working on a small fun project that involved animating splines (Montpellier Tramway Map morph), the limitations of Spline IK and general hostility of spline animation forced me to create my own simple animation-friendly spline control.

Tape Annotate

updated:
fixed toggle on and off functionality.

Displays tape-length information in the viewport.

Effects all tapes currently visible. Displays the user defined tape length at the base of the tape and the distance to the target at the target. Updates in real-time.

Simple!

note:
I work in inches, so displaying "in." is hard-coded. Change that part ("+" in."")of the code, or remove it to make it go away.

TronoTools: Animated Gravity Helper / Projection Path

How would your object be projected with gravity? Nothing is more annoying than to see basic physics being broken!

This little helper creates a help path for your object to show you the most realistic path it will follow when falling from it's initial path. Keep your objects to the right scale and speed, and this script should be 99% correct for almost any object. (Feathers excluded ;))
