Delete static keys - cleanup tracks/fcurves - HeckTools

4 votes

Hi All

This is intended to help cleanup your track view/graph editor for animating.

script removes all static keyframes excluding the initial key. essentially this acts similarly to the Maya feature "delete all static channels".

Also, it goes through and cleans up the tracks that have extra static keys that are in between your other animation keys leaving the animation in tact, but yielding a cleaner view of the chaos spaghetti.

leave feedback if you try the tool.

CAD Cleaner

A utility script to weld vertices and clean up smoothing in imported/converted CAD models. Works on Editable_Mesh objects in selection. Does not work on objects with an Edit_Mesh or Edit_Poly modifier applied. I use this to do a first-pass quick cleanup on imported SolidEdge models; it helps eliminate duplicate faces and odd smoothing groups.

Cleans unassigned materials out of the Material Editor, replacing them with a gray standard material with default name. Leaves assigned materials intact.

Strip Paths from Bitmaps

3 votes

Removes current paths from all bitmaps in the scene. Primarily for getting rid of irrelevant paths on files recieved from users on other systems.

This functions in a similar way to stripping paths manually in asset tracking, but when doing that I've found that it can lag a lot and sometimes fail to strip some of the paths until you do it multiple times.

Bad paths can cause lag when Max tries to search for the missing textures, especially when they're pointing to a nonexistent network location.

Null Objects Cleaner is a 3ds max script to help you to find the null objects in your scene, show you a list of these objects and give you the possibility to delete them. Null Objects in studio max are poly objects without faces - empty objects.

Script category: “#todorScripts”.

You can see an example, how to install my script per Drag and Drop and tutorial for the Null Objects Cleaner:

Zero Santitary Check

Goes through an array of nodes, and checks if they are properly zeroed out. Any errors are displayed in the listener. While I'm rigging, I usually run this function on its control objects to immediately see if I missed something.
