Save preferences

Description

Hello, when lighting scenes with the maxwell plugin I tend to start my lighting process with the same shaped lights, sames names, same material. So I've decided to try and create a script to help streamline the process(I'm a new).

Question: Is there a way to save preferences in a custom rollout?

I stumbled on some info about preferences being saved in the ini file. I think what I need to do is find a way to have the settings in my rollout be exported to this file. Does anybody have any experience doing this?

try Max Defaults:

it doesn't save names but it saves properties as presets to load on new object creation or can paste saved properties...

I'll try to add save default names soon
