Script to automatically create LOD

Hi :),

im a newbie and looking for a script to automatically create a simple lod that is working in 3DS Max 2020.
As example: 1.to select a obj (teapot) 2. Select a amount of Levels ( teapot_LOD0 …_LOD2 …and so on) 3. Select the Vertex % of each level.
Can someone help me please.
