Find identical geometry and instance it

Everybody who have imported large amount of data from any cad system know that it normally kills the instancing. The intention of this script is to find geometrically identical nodes and instance them. This script will of course work if someone have used copy instead of instance in a scene and wants them instanced instead.

I'm happy to see that so many have tried out my Sunday hack that I made 5 years ago...but as it was only something to do for a Sunday its not really something I support. I would love to, but my daytime job takes all my time ;-)

QuadSphere

QuadSphere is an Object Plugin that creates spheres made of quads, which are useful for low polygon modeling and mesh subdivision.

Unlike TurboSmooth, with QuadSphere you can specify a level of subdivisions that is not power of 2. Another advantage is that the areas of the faces are more evenly distributed than using a Box with TurboSmooth.

Additionally you can unify the Materials IDs, create hemispheres with or without caps, and convert the object to poly with a single click.

Instance Tool

Instance tool analyze the geometry objects in the scene and finds groups of objects that could be represented as instances of one of them. Then the user can turn every group into actual instances and choose which object from the group will be preserved. The objects in the group are objects that have the same topology (could be morph targets of one another) and the difference between them could be described with transformation alone.

Attach by Same Material

Attached all geometry with the same material to the currently selected object. This collapses to editable poly first, so make sure you're cool with that before you click. :)

Created for merging objects in heavy architecture scenes recieved in Max format with large numbers of individual objects.

VrayProxy Switcher

Select a bunch of objects and put unique nodes to a specified directory as separate max files with the related vrayproxy data saved next to it.
Istance copies will be replaced with the new vrayproxy object.
Get previously saved objects back to max whenever you wish.
