How can i create this perforated mesh...? pics inside... is there a script to do such a thing

hey,

new poster here. I'm desperate to know as to how to make this sort of mesh. It scales from smaller openings to larger ones.... im interested in particular in replecating the effects of the mesh seen in the three pictures. I hope you can help!!

Hi I pulled this off the Area/forums/scripting a while ago (I think) so no longer can provide attrib but it does something similar but with hexagons. I hope it helps if not try searching the Area for hexagons.

looks difficult to find a script that does exact what you need. also creating a script doing it would be hard because it seems very difficult to define the needs in particular.

here it looks more like individual artwork than a straight forward logic approach.

i would do it by hand: using illustrator (or something similar) to create the base outlines and especially the patterns for the holes. import it into max, convert to spline, tweak the spline here and there and use bevel-profile modifier to get the thickness with "rounded corners".
