Keyboard input listener?

Hey guys. I wonder if there is something like Key listener in 3ds max?
Simple example - I have keys A, S, D, F bonded in 3ds Max. Then I run a script that applies modifier (Symmetry for example), and I want to manipulate modifier's parameters like choosing Axis, Flip, Slice with these keys (ASDF etc) which already bound to other functions.

Yep, I can write smart functions for every hotkey, like "If Symmetry applied, then ... ", but it'll be hard to edit I believe.

This not exist in 3ds Max. You have to write your own tool.
