Need a script or plugin that converts Mental Ray textures into V-ray

Hi. So I am currently studying at the Gnomon VFX School in Hollywood, CA. I am well versed in Maya and Modo...but am a bit new to 3DS Max. Hence I am taking the 3DS Max I and II courses.

In Max I, we needed to model something for a short animation. I modeled a cool alien and Mars Rover...but I used V-Ray 3.0, which was allowed by my professor. I did not have time to build a 3D Environmental map of the Mars terrain, so my Prof.., said I could get one free or from Turbosquid if I wanted too. I got a great one from Turbosquid...however it uses Mental-Ray textures and materials, and when I try to render it in V-ray it of course looks crappy. So, do I need to adjust my V-ray settings...or do I need to make the mental ray materials and textures into v-ray ones. If the latter, can someone direct me to a script or plug-in that might do all that for me, if there is one around).

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank You:)

Attached is a look at how my terrain looks on my laptop at the moment, including the "material editor open" and a render of the scene using Mental-Ray.

mr 2 Vray

This is a common problem, back and forth between Vray and Mental Ray. You might look at the Autodesk Material Converter from 3dsstudio.nl. You can do a search for it here. It is a commercial script and will run you about $70. I have had the most success in my production work with this script. Beware, the licensing process can take a day or 2 depending on where you are located.
Good luck!
